I want to thank the Lions of 14-G for the opportunity to serve this wonderful district We have many challenges before us this year and I know that with all of us putting forth our best effort we can accomplish anything we set out to do. The International President Wing-Kun Tam's theme is "I Believe". We can take that and use it to approach all the needs of our clubs. If you believe that you can have a successful year and meet your goals, you will. Belief is the cornerstone of any endeavor and with courage, commitment and action you can reach heights that before seemed unattainable. The officers of the district, the committees, and the Past District Governors are all there to serve the clubs of 14-G.

The Presidents of all the clubs got their White Cane Days material in the mail from the District Chairman. If you participate or not the White Cane Day Chairperson would Like a report on the yellow sheet the Presidents received. Each club keeps the money raised but tracking is important and a report needs to be submitted. LET’S HAVE 100% REPORTING THIS YEAR!!!!!!!!! -Nancy Probst, White Cane Days Chair
This is an appeal for funding for the areas in our district affected by devasting flooding. This is directed to those clubs not in the flood area as the clubs in that area are already spending their time and resources. This money should be sent to the District Treasurer Kathy Harpster, 4110 Brush Valley Road, Spring Mills, PA 16875 and marked for flood relief. The funds will be used for water, clothing, replacement medicine and clean-up supplies. The district has applied for a $10,000 emergency grant from Lions Internatiponal and the above stated uses are the same as the grant guidelines. Also, when more details are available the district will be asking for manpower to help with clean-up. We are Lions and this is much needed service that we can perform to help those in need. Thank you for all that you can and will do. - DG Bud
